The White Company raises funds for Childline this Christmas
This Christmas The White Company will help raise much-needed funds for one of the UK’s most important children’s charities, ChildLine, through the sale of several gorgeous items in its Little White Company collection.
ChildLine is the UK's free, 24-hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counselors comfort, advise and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn.
From every Little White Company White fleece stocking with Pink heart(£10) or Red fleece stocking with White star (£10) sold, £1 will be donated to ChildLine. For every Quilted Tia Stocking (£14) sold, £2 will be donated. Also for all Fairy or Elf greeting card pack(£4 for 6) bought 50 pence will be donated to ChildLine. Finally, in the adult range, for all men and women’s stockings(£10) £1 will be donated.
“We are delighted to be supporting ChildLine for the second year, we raised over £20,000 for them last year” says Chrissie Rucker, founder of The White Company, and a mother of four. “It’s a charity that reaches out to so many children who have nowhere else to turn.”
Almost 1,400 volunteers provide a counseling service, supervised by a team of professional supervisors and managers. Every day around 4,500 children call ChildLine.
“It’s a great charity that makes a very serious difference to a lot of children” Chrissie says.
