The White Company launches Mirrored Furniture for Autumn

The White Company has launched an exclusive range of mirrored furniture for autumn to reflect an elegant new mood in interiors.

“The Halston range is inspired by 1930s glamour but with a modern twist and it is very versatile,” says The White Company’s founder, Chrissie Rucker. “It can work with any interior, whether it be contemporary or traditional.”

The three-drawer chest of drawers is beautiful and functional, whether accessorised with a lamp, small sculpture or vase of fresh flowers. There is more than a hint of Art Deco chic about this substantial piece of furniture, which fits into a bedroom for elegant storage, or in a hallway or living room as a focal point for the room.

“I like a chest of drawers to be useful as well as look fantastic,” Chrissie says. “This piece does that: it has deep drawers that hold plenty of things and, at the same time, it can truly bring a spark of glamour to any room.”

This collection also includes a dressing table and stool with gracefully curved legs that are as perfect for glamorous party-prep moments as they are for little girls playing dress up. With a few scented candles and vintage-inspired bottles, the dressing table looks as gorgeous in a room with a decorative wrought-iron bed as one with more linear lines. The stool is a perfect accompaniment to the table, as is the delicate mirror, which can be hung with the set or on its own.

“For those who prefer such a dramatic piece of furniture more front and centre, it can also work as a hall table by the front door,” says Chrissie. “It’s is a stunning piece to liven up what is sometimes an overlooked area of the house.”

Meanwhile, the Halston mirrored bedside table looks equally divine next to the bed or used as a side table next to a sofa, accessorised with one of The White Company’s glass lamps, as well as a teetering pile of your favourite books.

Style takes a comfortable turn at The White Company

The White Company introduces a new range of luxurious easy-to-wear fashion for the autumn, so there is little excuse not to take on the new mood of pulled-together chic that pervades this season.

“As always, easy clothes for wearing at home take centre stage at The White Company, but this autumn with sophisticated fabrics and flattering cuts,” says Chrissie Rucker, founder of The White Company. “And many of our items can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood or your needs.”

The luxurious, cashmere shawl collar cardi and matching pull-on trousers are as warm as they are stylish because they come in this season’s ‘black’ which is actually a sophisticated silvery marl. The wool/cashmere lace-stitch cardi and baby cord pull-ons, in cocoa or ivory, are also brilliant for just a cosy night in or looking great when whizzing out to the shops.

The new lace-trip top and shorts, in white cocoa or ice blue, can be slept in, worn on their own or underneath a cardigan at home. Alternatively, the top makes a perfect vest when peeking out from underneath a V-neck jumper, such as the silk rich fitted V-neck sweater.

The feminine suede ballet pumps, which come in either cocoa or vintage pink, are ideal for relaxing around the house or as pretty slippers with a robe. They also look gorgeous worn with jeans and The White Company’s new Perfect Slim-Fit white shirt, which can be teamed with the scoop-neck tank top for an added layer of chic and warmth.

Yoga and Pilates devotees will also be thrilled with some new additions to The White Company’s Velour Zip Funnel jacket
. The new funnel neck jacket, which beautifully matches the fixed-wrap tie top and roll-top trousers, is perfect for home or for heading to the Pilates studio.

Once safely ensconced at home, away from autumnal showers and winds, The White Company has a gorgeous selection of nightwear to take you from after-work relaxation to bed with ease and in comfort.

Try the new lace-trim rib jersey nightwear for light but cosy sleeping or the crisp white luxury silk/cotton range, inspired by vintage lingerie, whether in a nightdress or in Pjs.

“For very cold nights, there is nothing better than flannel to keep you warm and cosy,” says Chrissie about the new Floral Flannel nightwear range, which features a nightshirt, pointelle vest and Pj’s in a delicate vintage-style floral stripe.

The Little White Company gets into the mood for Autumn

Chrissie Rucker picks the best of what’s new for children this season

As children get ready to head back to school and summer gives way to autumn, The Little White Company makes the seasonal change that much easier with a bright collection of products that will make sleeping and playing a more joyful experience during the cold months ahead.

“When we are designing our children’s range we try to make them both stylish and functional,” says Chrissie Rucker, founder of The Little White Company and a mother of four. ‘As all parents know, you can’t have one without the other when it comes to kids.”

For little girls who have grown out of pink, The Little White Company introduces a range of white PJ’s with red polka dots as well as the Polka Dot quilt, cushion cover and heart cushion with a reversible red-and-white gingham print. The Polka Dot linen set has a sweet gingham trim.

The super feminine theme continues with the new Tia range, white bed linen with appliquéd hearts and embroidered flowers, which is ideal for the dreamer in every little girl. The collection also includes a new quilt, cushions, a hand-tufted rug and lampshades for the bedroom, all a perfect match for the lovely curves of the new Provence bed that will add a touch of fairy-tale style to a bedroom. If you have a budding dancer she’ll love the new Ballerina range of bedlinen and nightwear who will never tire of pink as will the new Pippa range, which features spots as well as flowers. The Pippa sleeping bag, in fact, is ideal for sleepovers or weekends away, and comes in a pretty drawstring bag.

Boys, of course, love anything that flies so the new Flying Machines range, featuring aeroplanes, hot hair balloons and pilots, is perfect for them, whether in the form of pyjamas, bed linen, rugs, towels or box cushions. They will also love the Austin pull-on trousers and long-sleeve T-shirts – both very cosy for chilly autumn nights and comfortable enough for a good dose of jumping on beds.

The new Gingham bed linen, which comes in pink or blue, adds a cheerful mood to the room and to any child’s bed. It can also be accessorised with navy or pink gingham curtains.

“This bedlinen is one that both boys and girls will love,” says Chrissie. “And it looks fabulous with, for example, The Little White Company’s popular bunk bed, which is a great piece of furniture whether children have to share rooms or would like an extra space in which to host sleepovers with friends.”

Speaking of space, children’s playrooms will also benefit from The Little White Company’s new collection in the form of the new Playroom shelving units, a mix and match collection of brilliant storage space. The Canvas storage boxes and bag also come in handy for hiding clutter and toys.

As children are always out and about, The Little White Company has introduced a gorgeous collection of cable knit tops – a cardigan and a tank top – this season. They come in white or navy. Children will also find the new Classic Jersey hooded top and trousers the most comfortable thing to run around in after school or at weekends.

“From new bedding and accessories to clothes and furniture, The Little White Company caters to children first and foremost,” concludes Chrissie. “When we design collections, we think of what will suit their lives that their parents will love to look at.”
