The Little White Company makes a fresh start for Spring 2007

This spring the Little White Company gives busy parents a hand in getting organised and making sure this new time of year is fun for everyone.

“The new spring ranges at The Little White Company are both fresh and inspiring,” says company founder and mother of four, Chrissie Rucker. “For me spring is always a time when I try to have a good sort out, clearing clutter and putting away winter woolies to make way for new ideas for the season ahead.”

NEW FOR BOYS
There are two main themes running through the boys’ range this spring: the cheerful new boating theme and a charming, old-fashioned gingham trim.

A perfect example of both comes in the bedtime and relaxation/play ranges with a new set of Big Check Pull-Ons(from £10) or the Nautical Stripe Pull-Ons(from £10). There are also the new Whites and Pjs (from £25) and the new Boating T-Shirt (from £10) with fun sailboat embroidery. The boating theme also runs into the boys’ bath time ranges with a new boating theme, which includes a Boating Towel Set (£28), a Wash Bag(£16) and Robe(from £25).

Another first for The Little White Company is the new Boys’ Underwear 2-Pack: choose from the pure cotton jersey Stripe Vests (£8) or Briefs (£6).

The popular Flying Machines range also appears for spring/summer in the form of Flying Machines Bed Linen (from £8 for a pillowcase to £40 for a single duvet cover), Quilt (from £65-£125) and Cushion Cover (£18) and PJs(from £15).

NEW FOR GIRLS
Little girls who love the prettiest of things will adore the new spring Flora Bed Linen (from £8 for a pillowcase to £40 for a single duvet cover), with gorgeous embroidery and appliqué flowers, and lovely contrast fabric trims. The Flora motif also comes in Flora Quilts (from £65 to £125) and Cushion Covers (from £18) as well as cheerful Bunting (£15) to add colour and fun to any room.

The Flora Pjs (from £25) serve sleepovers perfectly as does the Kaftan Nightdress (from £25), which will be a hit with older girls as well as younger ones. The Flora print also comes in a Flora Towel Set (£28), a Wash Bag (£16) and a Robe (from £25).

The always-popular nightwear collection also includes the new Jessie Nightdress (from £22) and Pull-ons (from £10).

Girls’ bed linen gets a fresh new print for spring in the form of a lovely dotty, spotty Reversible Spot Bed Linen (from £8 for a pillowcase to £45 for a double duvet cover). It’s like having two different bed linens – one side has bright and cheerful big dots and there are mini dots on the other. There is also a new Flower Fairy Light (£18) to add instant magic to a room.

Slumber parties take on a whole new dimension with the Dotty Nightwear (Pjs from £15, nightdress from £18). For girls who love pink but don’t want girly flowers, the new Big Check Pull-Ons (from £10) go perfectly with the Picot T-shirt (from £6). The Ballerina nightwear is for the girliest of girls with a nightdress (from £20) and Pjs (from £15). They are also beautifully accessorised by Cotton Ballet Slippers in pink broderie anglaise.

A brand new addition to The Little White Company is the pure cotton Girls’ Underwear Set (£8 for vests; £6 for briefs). Each 2-pack contains one all over floral design and one with floral trim.

The well-loved Big Spot collection is back for spring/summer. With a Towel Set (£25), Bath Mat(£12) and Robe (from £22), this pretty pink and white polka-dot pattern appeals to girls of all ages.

The piece de resistance for little girls in spring/summer is the new Lilly Dress (£25), a beautiful smocked party dress with puff sleeves, a scalloped hem and pink gingham detail.

NEW FOR BABIES & TODDLERS

There is lots of news for newborns and toddlers at The Little White Company this spring. No parent can live without the Baby Sleeping Bags (£20-£25), whether in Newborn White Woven Pique (£20) or the Woven Gingham in Blue or Pink (from £25). For those looking for the perfect baby gift, The Little White Company Satin-Edged Blanket (from £12) always goes down a storm and the Pure Cotton Knitted Blanket (£25) is gorgeous with its knitted patchwork design and will be handed down the generations. Also new are the gorgeous Cotton Jersey Gifts Sets (£25) which come with a baby vest, a knotted hat and trimmed blanket in a handy matching drawstring bag all in cosy pure cotton jersey. Sweet but fussy babies will also love the Ben and Rosie Comforters (£6): snugly Blue Benjamin and Pink Rosie will be perfect for cuddling up with.

As every new parents knows, a bit of rocking goes a long way in comforting a small baby. The Little White Company’s ingenious solution to this is the Rocking Crib (£125) which is small and snug and makes baby feel safe and secure.

Babies look gorgeous in snug baby grows and beautiful knits. The new Picot Wrap Top (from £18) for girls is perfect for a budding ballerina and can be worn over the new Peter Pan Collar Baby Grows (£22 for two): one comes in a thin stripe while the other has a daisy print. Last summer’s seersucker Pjs were so popular with kids that Chrissie Rucker thought babies should get to enjoy them too, hence the Seersucker Stripe Baby Grow (£15). Finally, for girls there is the pretty Jessie Baby Grow (£14) with gorgeous rosebuds and picot edges and for boys, the new Shirt-collared Baby Grow (£22) 2-pack, one with a thick stripe and the other with a thin one.

Furthermore, to keep your toddlers entertained the ever-popular white-wood Alphabet Abacus (£25) is joined by a new series of soft toys this spring/summer. Cuddly creatures such as Morris Monkey (£18), Alice Bunny (£15), Tom Cat (£18) and Hugo Bear (£12) are joined by Polly Rag Doll (£15) so boys and girls can have somebody sweet to keep them company.

NEW CHILDREN’S FURNITURE
The Little White Company continues to stock beautifully styled children’s furniture for girls and boys of all ages. From the curvy Provence Bed (£550 for a single; £625 for a double) to the brand-new single Pink Rossini Iron Bedstead (£350), which is perfect for little princesses, there is something for every little lady. Boys will love the Classic Single Bed (£385) with the Truckle Bed (£195) option for essential sleepovers as well as the White Hampton Bed (£325 for a single; £395 for a double) with the Underbed Storage/Truckle Option (£165).

Of course, children’s playrooms are never forgotten at The Little White Company. Chrissie Rucker likes playrooms tidy and organised which is why The Little White Company’s Playroom Shelving Units are still a main feature for spring. This practical range (from £150 to £325) comes in three widths for mixing and matching and makes the most out of any bedroom or playroom.
