Why do I need a mattress protector?
A mattress protector offers a layer of light padding between you and your mattress so you don't feel any tufts or quilting through your sheets. It also helps to keep your mattress and topper hygienic and stain free, which is important given that the average adult sweats a pint of moisture every night.

Why do I need a mattress topper?
A mattress topper is a layer of luxurious padding that lies between your mattress and mattress protector. It makes your mattress feel that extra bit more comfortable by gently moulding to the shape of your body and offering a little 'give'. Even if you think your bed is perfect as it is, adding a topper will make it feel sublime. To prolong the life of your topper and to avoid regular laundering, you should always use a mattress protector on top, as you can easily wash this at home.

What's best for children?
A waterproof mattress protector is a child's bed essential, especially during potty training. Ours is made of cosy and absorbent cotton flannel on a waterproof fitted layer.
A top tip is to buy two waterproof mattress protectors and place them both on the bed at once - one over the mattress, with a bed sheet on top, then another protector over the first sheet with a second sheet on top of that. If there's an accident in the night, you can whip off the top sheet and protector, leaving another set already in place. It means you're not grappling around in the dark for clean and dry layers when you've got a sleepy or distressed child wanting to get back to sleep.
