Our Indian dhurry rug is an easy way to refresh a room - and a fabulous price for such a huge piece.

Made in an extra heavy weight for added softness underfoot, the rug is hand woven in India on a bobbin-style loom, so you'll find charming variations between each hand made piece.

It's woven with contemporary stripes with a tassel fringe detail that's knotted by hand.

Team your dhurry rug in one room with our dhurry runner in the hallway.

Available in pebble/white
100% cotton
170cm x 240cm

We have a few tips to help you care for your new rug.

To extend the life of your rug, we recommend using a rug pad. This provides traction between the rug and the floor to avert any slipping. It adds padding and keeps the rug smooth and flat. It also protects the rug's backing and prevents any possible colour transfer between rug and floor.

To avoid flattening piles, use rug protectors under the legs of heavy furniture.

Rotate or reposition your rug every few months to promote even wear.

Vacuum your rug regularly to prevent dust and crumbs from settling into the fibre roots. Use a vacuum cleaner without a beater brush on a low power setting. For best results, vacuum the rug from different directions, making several passes over the area.

Attend to spills immediately. Blot with a clean, undyed cloth to absorb as much of the spill as possible, working from the outer edge inwards to minimise spreading. Follow by wiping the area with a damp cloth if necessary. For spot cleaning, apply water in tiny amounts. Don't saturate. If applying cleaning solvents, test in a small inconspicuous spot before using. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage or fade your rug. For stubborn stains, consult a professional carpet cleaning service.

Due to the inherent nature of woven and tufted rugs, loose fibres are likely to shed, though this will diminish over time. Trim any loose threads using household scissors. Never pull threads as the rug may unravel.

Store your rug by rolling it front side out and wrapping it in cloth for protection. Place it in a dry, well ventilated area. Don't fold your rug or put it in an airtight plastic bag.

This rug is for indoor use only.
