The soft, grey green leaves and pale pink to purple flowers make the Apple Mint a handsome addition to any herb garden. Its dried leaves can be infused in water to make a distinctive tea, plus it can also be used in sauces and jellies. Cultivation: Seed is best started into growth under glass, from March to May, the small seedling being set aside, (one to another) some 1inch, in trays or pans. When large enough to be planted they should be placed from 9-12 inches apart in a sunny position, remembering that they will continue to self-propagate by means of underground roots
