10 STEPS TO HOSTING SUCCESS

Seasonal get-togethers (even if slightly smaller than usual) are one of the highlights of the festive period. Looking to host at home? Here’s how to make it memorable…

1. REMEMBER FIRST IMPRESSIONS COUNT

Make guests feel welcome before they’ve even stepped through the door. A beautiful faux garland, or wreath (ours are so realistic), on the front door set the festive tone and looks fabulous.

2. SCENT THE SCENE

Create an inviting atmosphere with a warm-yet-seasonal scent. From the flicker of a Winter candle to a comforting Highland Escape diffuser, wrap guests in wonderfully cozy fragrance.

3. BEGIN WITH AN APERITIF

A flute of Champagne, signature cocktail or non-alcoholic option, served in elegant glasses and flutes are sure to get any evening off to a lovely start. You could even set up a mini drinks station – cheers!

4. PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL

It’s the little touches that make all the difference when it comes to setting the table. Try adding a seasonal decoration as a napkin tie, or opt for a sparkling place mat teamed with the finest-quality linens.

5. SERVED TO SHARE

Our stunning selection of superb-quality serverware means stove-to-table dishes are not only easy (giving you more time to focus on hosting duties), but beautifully presented, as well.

6. DRESS WITH EASE

The last thing you want to worry about when hosting is what to wear. An effortless midi dress in floaty washed satin is an elegant, all-in-one, outfit solution. Simply team with sandals and delicate jewelry.

7. GIFT A SMALL SURPRISE

For a special touch, wrap a small present to place at each setting at the table. Whether it’s a Signature candle, mini hand cream, or small accessory, a little token will really make your event feel like Christmas.

8. UPGRADE THE BATHROOM

Make a bathroom guest-ready in an instant with super-soft towels and hotel-worthy hand wash and moisturising cream. We love our Lime & Bay or Seychelles scents (and your vistitors will, too).

9. FINISH WITH SWEET TREATS

We know there’s always room for dessert – especially when they look this good. Swap bowls for champagne coupes to create a truly irresistible display, or place statement cakes and mince pies on a cake stand on the centre of the table.

10. CREATE A SLEEP RETREAT

And so, to bed. Hosting duties don’t always end in the evening. For overnight guests, transform your spare bedroom into a wonderful space for them to unwind, complete with soft flannel bedding and the cosiest throws.
