Why neutrals are the best choice for babies
When it comes to dressing little ones, we want the best of everything: comfort, practicality and a little style, of course – all wrapped up in one adorable package. Our styles tick all the boxes.
Calming colors
It takes newborns a while to adjust to the world around them. During their first few months in the world, babies will only see in white, gray and black – their vision won’t fully develop until between five and eight months. This is when babies are extra sensitive to their surroundings, and the colors they see can actually influence their mood and behavior. Where bright, vibrant shades can be overstimulating, neutrals help to foster a sense of calm – particularly useful when you need to settle a fussy little one into their crib at naptime.
Easy for Mom
There are practical perks to dressing little ones in neutrals, too. You can bundle light colors in the machine together and wash them at a high temperature, which is handy for tackling stains. They also won’t fade with washing, like bright colors, giving them a longer lifespan. And hand-me-downs? Neutrals make some of the best ones. You won’t need to worry about re-purchasing all the baby essentials if you plan to grow your family, no matter their little siblings’ gender.
The sweetest styles
So, yes. We do think neutrals make the best baby clothes, but it’s the details we add that make ours anything but boring. The fuzzy little bear ears on our rompers, the one-of-a-kind prints and soft-backed embroidery on our sleepsuits, to name a couple. And then there are our fabrics. The majority of our collection for little ones is made of organic cotton – the kind that doesn’t compromise on softness. All the better for those snuggles, cuddles and tummy tickles.
