A great shelving unit but would be better described as €˜unfinished' not raw, with a warning that some surfaces may be rough. We have had to sand down to remove splinters and rough surfaces. The decision to apply a protective coating was ours alone. Anyone intending to use this ladder shelf in a bathroom would be well advised to do the same. Overall, however, it fits the room setting perfectly but let down by finish. Delivery was quicker than expected
