The county town of Surrey, Guildford is a small, bustling town in Southern England, halfway between London and Portsmouth. Guildford town centre deserves a full day to itself. The beautiful High Street, paved with granite setts (frequently referred to as 'cobbled'), is packed with shopping possibilities. There is a great mix of shops from small independents to large national brands, and in the streets and lanes around the High Street there is a wealth of history to discover.
