Equipment:

12-hole muffin tin
2 mixing bowls
Saucepan
Spoon

Ingredients:

25g butter, plus a little extra for greasing the tins
225g chocolate
4 large shredded wheat biscuits or 100g bitesize shredded wheat biscuits
2 bags (100g each) mini eggs

Method:

 1. Grease your 12-hole muffin tin with some butter and set to one side.

2. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in one of your bowls.

3. Add the rest of your butter to the chocolate pieces.

4. In a separate mixing bowl, crush the shredded wheat into small pieces.

5. Sit the bowl with the chocolate and butter over a pan of gently simmering water, stir until melted and then take off the heat (this step is best left for adults).

6. Add the shredded wheat to the melted chocolate and mix until combined.

7. Spoon the mixture into the buttered muffin tins.

8. Using the back of the spoon, make a little dent in the mixture to create the ‘nest’ where your mini eggs will sit.

9. Refrigerate for at least one hour to allow them to set.

10. Once set, fill the nests with the mini eggs and serve.
