We’ve updated our signature boyfriend shirt with pure ramie fabric for its airy, breathable feel. Evocative of men’s shirt styling, with a box pleat on the back and a stepped hem that makes it easy to style tucked, untucked or somewhere between the two. Patch pockets on the breast and dyed-to-match buttons give the shirt a clean finish, especially when styled with our ramie shorts.
Ramie is a natural fibre, similar to linen flax. It makes a smooth, lightweight, plant-derived fabric, that can be woven very sheer and fine. It has many of the same qualities as linen – durable, breathable and moisture-wicking (ideal for warm weather) and it softens the more you wash and wear it. The nature of the fabric means it’s prone to creasing, but we love this casual, worn-in look.
