Mackintosh Trench
What we love
• Premium waterproof design
• Pure cotton, bonded with rubber
• Panel detailing
• Large pockets with poppers
We love this relaxed trench, made especially for us by Mackintosh. Made from rubber-bonded pure cotton, there’s minimal stitching and the pieces are glued by hand – for a waterproof finish. Zip-and-popper fastening is concealed by a large panel, with a button fastening on the placket hem for a fully closed effect if desired. The funnel neck has buttons at the side, with the option to style fastened or open. Finished with a full-length pleat down the centre back with a button tab, button-adjuster cuffs and metal air vents on the underarm.
Charles Mackintosh created the first waterproof fabric in 1823, leading to the creation of Mackintosh – a luxury, heritage outerwear brand. Their signature rubber-bonded coats are handmade today just as they were in the 19th century, combining modern technology with traditional craft techniques.
