THE FABRICS OF SUMMER

Our story began with bed linen and, over the years, we’ve travelled far and wide to source the finest yarns and work with the most skilled artisans. Our warm-weather-approved fabrics are chosen for their individual qualities, designed to improve the quality of sleep – even on balmy nights. Now, to find the one that's right for you…

Why linen?

Made from fibres derived from the flax plant, this hero fabric provides outstanding breathability – keeping you cool in Summer and warm in Winter months – and has a wonderfully relaxed feel.

TODAY. TOMORROW. FOREVER.

Produced naturally using the flax plant, linen requires only rainfall,
needs little maintenance and is grown free of GMOs.

Why hemp?

The beautifully fine-but-strong fibres, blended with superior linen, create a luxuriously soft and breathable fabric. The washed finish lends it greater tactility that will become even more supple and soft over time.

TODAY. TOMORROW. FOREVER.

Hemp is considered one of the world’s most sustainable plants, as it grows rapidly, needs minimal pesticides and little water. Hemp is a natural, breathable material, making sheets feel comfortably cool in Summer and warm in Winter.

Kara Hemp Oxford Pillowcase - Standard

Why cotton sateen?

This wonderfully soft fabric has a smoother, more delicate finish than percale. Combining softness and strength, cotton is woven to produce a firm, smooth fabric that is beautifully breathable and boasts a silky finish and slight sheen.

How to style…

Due to the silk-like feel and drape of sateen, it’s a wonderfully luxurious choice to pair with a lofty cotton quilt in complimentary hues.

Why cotton percale?

One of our most popular fabrics, cotton percale combines softness and strength, woven tightly to produce a firm, smooth fabric. It’s a classic for a reason.

Savoy Bed Linen

How to style…

With a more crisp, structured finish, we love to layer beds with a folded-back flat sheet that matches the collection, offering a smarter aesthetic. Why not weave in luxuriously textured throws and cushions to add extra softness and contrast?

Why silk?

The ultimate in luxury, mulberry silk boasts naturally hypoallergenic properties and temperature-regulating abilities. Plus, it is renowned for its ability to help hair and skin retain their moisture, too – hello, beauty sleep.
