this International Women’s Day

8th March 2025

As The Founding Patron for The Change A Girl’s Life Campaign for The King’s Trust, our founder Chrissie would love to invite you to get involved with The Brilliant Breakfast…

“Can I persuade you to join us this March and help to change the lives of vulnerable young women in the UK?

We’d love you to host a get-together over breakfast and raise funds for The King’s Trust. As a Patron for The King’s Trust for many years, I have seen time and time again what an enormous difference their work makes to young people in real need of a helping hand. They provide vital support to bring hope and opportunity to young people who have lost confidence in their future, helping them to move forward into employment or further education, or to become self-employed. They can also offer a mentor and, most importantly, the opportunity to make a fresh start.

Whether it’s simply tea and toast at home or a fabulous brunch with friends, family or colleagues, register now to host a Brilliant Breakfast to Change A Girl’s Life.”

All about Change A Girl’s Life at The King’s Trust

The young women this initiative supports are truly incredible – and have often faced issues, such as domestic abuse, bullying, long-term unemployment, addiction, homelessness, the challenges of single parenthood, or simply have no emotional support at home. However, it's incredible to see what they can achieve, with just a little bit of the right help at the right time.

The funds we raise will enable The King’s Trust to help more young women – providing life-changing support to help rebuild lost confidence and mentorship, as well as help them move forward into a job, further training, or self-employment.

Why it’s important

Research shows that in the UK today, young women are struggling more than ever before, and with more acute challenges and barriers than their male peers, are facing crippling anxiety, low confidence and self-esteem and domestic abuse.

45%

of young women feel hopeless about their future

47%

of young women feel anxious on a daily basis about the cost of living crisis

33%

of young women feel a lack of confidence is holding them back from achieving their career goals
