Step 1: Building the fragrance

Our fragrances begin their journey in Grasse, the historic heart of French perfumery. For many years, we've partnered with a fragrance house with over 200 years of expertise.

Each of our scents begins with an emotion rather than a list of ingredients. The Seychelles brief: to evoke the feeling of escaping to the Seychelles islands, with a warm and sensual atmosphere – capturing the feeling of warm skin, a gentle ocean breeze and tropical flowers in one unmistakable scent.

Step 2: Only the best ingredients

Every fragrance gets its own bespoke formula, which means you’ll never find the same scents as ours anywhere else. We only use the very best ingredients and have 100% traceability through the whole process, from the farmer to the end product.

In Seychelles, fresh Jasmine is picked from the fields and taken back to the factory where the scent is extracted from the raw material to create ‘absolutes’ which are more concentrated and aromatic in comparison to essential oils.

Step 3: Finished by hand

Once our fragrances are perfected, they’re handed over to the experts at our UK-based factory.

Each fragrance requires its own bespoke wax formulation and wick combination. We go beyond industry standards when it comes to burn testing to ensure ours are among the very best quality you’ll find – assessing fragrance throw, flame performance and wax consistency to ensure the scent remains just as beautiful from the very first to the very last.

Each Seychelles candle is poured and hand finished. Then, once the candle has cooled and fully set, every glass vessel is cleaned by hand, every wick is carefully trimmed and all candles are inspected before leaving the workshop. They're small details, but we ensure they get the same and care as every other stage of the process.

A bestseller for years, Seychelles has always been a fragrance that our customers keep coming back for. Bright top notes of bergamot, lemon and orange, reveal a creamy heart of jasmine and coconut that develop as the candle burns. Finally, warm amber, vanilla and soft musks create the comforting signature that lingers hours after the candle has been extinguished.
