Turn back the covers…
…and get right in. A welcome retreat after a long day, or a snuggly space to while away a weekend morning, it’s hard to beat the feeling of a cosy, sleep sanctuary.
Softly does it
Tucking yourself up between velvet-smooth sheets is key to mastering snuggliness in the bedroom. If you like your bedding to feel pre-warmed and snug from the moment you pull back the duvet, flannel (sometimes called brushed cotton) is for you. Brushing the cotton fibres raises the very softest ones to create an almost fluffy texture that is particularly cosy. Hit that morning snooze button.
Chunky knits here
Layer, layer, layer. Vary the thickness of the knits from big and chunky to fine and smooth, to really emphasise their tactile nature. They go anywhere. From throws draped across the bed to cushions on an occasional chair, hunkering down with wool creates comforting warmth in any setting. Curl up with a book and listen to the rain.
The ‘no-stress’ attire
The right pyjamas won’t change the world but they can take an ordinary moment, like getting ready for bed, and turn it into a delicious one. Choose PJs so comfy you’ll want to stay in them all day: easy jersey fabric with just the right drape and cling. Easy-going comfort makes the whole day. Take your time to enjoy a moment to yourself – there’s really no need to rush.
