Jersey Side Stripe Trousers

I loved these trousers as soon as I saw them and after great service from the amazing staff in the Morpeth branch advising on size and length, I bought them. A couple of days later I went to York on an overnight trip with a friend and wore them. On returning home, the right hem had come down and there was an area of pilling ( fluffy like angel hair) on the front of my right thigh. There was also a fault on the stripe on the side that I hadn’t noticed before. I was so disappointed as they were are perfect fit, very comfortable and looked really smart. The fabric - Lensing & Ecovero blend is apparently prone to pilling if there is friction on the fabric which means if say a bag is in contact with the garment pilling can occur. I experienced this with a jumper bought from Oliver Bonas a which became a mass of fluff after a handful of uses. This seems to be an issue with synthetic fabrics. Clothes are meant to be worn and I personally think that if you can’t carry out normal daily activities without them becoming damaged they just aren’t fit for purpose. I have several White Company blouses and shirts that I have worn many times and they are still like new so I will always shop there but on this occasion I was really disappointed.
